Curio 7.0 adds new mindmapping charts, advanced tags

Zengobi has launched an upgrade of its mindmapping and task management software, Curio 7.0. Various tools let users brainstorm, take notes and draw and paint. Freeform spaces can be used for organizing tasks and ideas. Curio 7.0 introduces project sections and Organizer folders, as well as left map, right map and org-chart mindmap styles. Likewise new are advanced tags with image and hotkey support, plus project, idea space and figure galleries. The galleries include bundled styles, templates and stencils.
Time support is another new element, with options for start and due dates, hour and minute durations, and automatic work week and work time rollups. Miscellaneous additions include collapsible index cards, new Evernote components, and network support for templates, stencils, styles and Scrapbook repositories.
Curio is available in Standard and Professional versions; the latter adds Idea Space Templates, a presentation mode and a status shelf for tracking progress on multiple projects. Both require Mac OS X 10.5 or higher. Standard costs $120, while Pro is selling for $170.
