Daredevil Movie: Spider-Man is not the only Marvel superhero movie franchise for a restart. Fox-affiliated New Regency, which produced 2003's Daredevil, has hired screenwriter David Scarpa to have another go at the man without fear.
The first film, Ben Affleck, Colin Farrell and Jennifer Garner played, got mixed reviews at best, grossing about 102 million U.S. dollars within the country and brought the dish panned spin-off Elektra.
Daredevil rumors of a do-over have circulated since at least 2008, when in the aftermath of a warm summer 20th Century Fox's superhero properties assessed.
By continuing with the restart, the workshop reinforced her superhero slate - Fox has the X-Men and Fantastic Four licenses - and keep the property active in development, which prevents the return back to Marvel.
Scarpa wrote the scenarios for the 2001 thriller The Last Castle and the 2008 remake of the sci-fi classic The Day the Earth Stood Still. The first Daredevil was written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson Ghost Rider went on stirring.
