Jane Fonda and Ted Turner have publicly reunited to discuss their relationship for the first time since their 2001 split.
The couple smiled at one another and looked comfortable as they stood side by side for a pre-recorded segment of ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show.’ Turner, 71, said they still ‘love each other’ and revealed that they regularly speak on the phone and exchange e-mails.
“We were married for 10 years and we had a wonderful time. We’re still good buddies,” he said. “I want Jane to be happy. She’s got a nice boyfriend now.” Fonda, 72, joked: “Ted has taught me more than anyone can imagine, but not about relationships. Both of us are works in progress when it comes to relationships.
“He has a lot of love to give. Why not give it to an old broad you lived with.”
Fonda, who recently released another exercise video, also showed off her 68-year-old boyfriend Richard Perry during her appearance on Oprah’s show. Footage filmed at the music producer’s home showed them dancing together.
“I knew him 35 years ago and we danced together 25 years ago and it was a pretty sexy dance,” Fonda gushed.
