Beatitudes

Beatitudes, "Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn;
For they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek
For they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
Because they receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
To be called sons of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you
And pay all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake.
Rejoice and be glad,
Because of the great is your reward in heaven. "Matthew 5:1-12 (NAB)
I heard a priest in the liturgy of the vigil last night to explain the Beatitudes attitude and not a model to be a Christian. I never thought of them anyway, but I think he's right. They are more positions then anything else.
Be in good position of life or death. Some people with depression and other Christians tend to be happier in their beliefs. I choose to be happy more than the Christian era, when things get tough and I find comfort in what I believe.
When I feel the poor in spirit, and I know that things will improve. When you cried the sick and dying, I am reassured. Wadih? The first type of problem to be sweet! I'm not that type of person who comes out there and demonstrations for the cause, but I pray for those who are taking and when results will happen, a feeling of satisfaction and I admire greatly those who are willing to get out of there, and something the support that we believe so strongly in
I learned to be merciful, but I were not always this way. I'm surprised to be bad and regretted it. However, when I showed mercy to the person to get a bonus smile and change the situation enough.
Had a pure heart is something I do every day, and I really can not remember that, in the role of peacemaker.
And Shriver, founding director of the Peace Corps - nothing less, in fact, a secular missionary society, whose mission is to promote dialogue between nations and help the poor in developing regions. Recently in 1994, Sargent Shriver called on graduates of Yale, his alma mater, to be peacemakers. "You have to be more of a peacemaker warrior", adding: "I was at a time, and I know from experience."
Bible also tells us: "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy."
The champion of racial justice - and devotes his time and resources to help the weak and vulnerable and the excluded. And display of mercy for those who need it most. He assisted in the establishment and management of the Special Olympics, which gave dignity and honor for people with mental disabilities.
The Gospel tells us. Sargent Shriver, cried, "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted" Like many members of the Kennedy family, again and again and again - especially the grief expressed by the often during the funeral of Assembly.
The Bible assures us: "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."
During his professional life has become unfashionable in his own political party, Sargent Shriver, and continued to speak against abortion, stood his ground. When he ran for vice president with George McGovern in 1972, the last pro-life Democratic candidate on the list of presidential candidates - at least, the last until now. May be the position more than his political career. But it was a price he was willing to pay. Will not compromise his ideas or beliefs of Catholicism.
None of this is that Sargent Shriver was a saint. But at a time when people are willing to make concessions, to bend to political expediency, and to live in what Pope called "moral relativism", why not Sargent Shriver. He stood for something. And try to make the world a little better than it was - to make it more merciful, more compassionate, more just, more peaceful world.
This is the great message of the Beatitudes. In short, is what being a Christian.
