Wounded in a bomb blast suspected in a hospital in the northern Indian city of Agra on Saturday, 12 people. There were no reports of injuries.
After the blast, which occurred less than two weeks after a powerful bomb explosion in a bag exploded in a crowd outside the Supreme Court in New Delhi, killing 15 people and wounding dozens more, mostly of the petitioners in the pending legal hearings.
Inspector General of Police P.K. Tiwari said initial investigations suggested the blast was caused on Saturday in a bomb blast of raw, placed under the seat in the reception area in the Hospital Jay.
The explosion in the hospital a day after Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh spoke of the "uncertain" security situation in the country after a series of bombings.
"The security environment in the country is still uncertain," said Singh told a gathering of senior police officers from all over the country on Friday.
The Prime Minister said the recent bombings in Mumbai and New Delhi was "grim reminders of the serious challenges posed by terrorism" and stressed the urgent need to improve intelligence gathering.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack in New Delhi or in the rush-hour blasts that rocked Mumbai, packed with gold and jewelry quarter on July 13, killing 27 people.
